Andres Baquero Velasquez
| | University of IllinoisAndres Baquero Velasquez is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois. His work focuses on developing autonomous navigation for agricultural robots. He will be developing autonomy algorithms for mobile robots that operate in harsh, changing, and uncertain environments. Andres earned his bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from the University of Llanos, Columbia, and went on to earn his master’s and doctoral degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. His work has been published in the Journal of Field Robotics and Precision Agriculture.
