| | Cornell UniversityJoe Gage is a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) postdoctoral research fellow at Cornell University. For the TERRA project, Gage is interested in using quantitative genetics, machine learning, and simulations to integrate traditional and novel data types for the improvement of crop prediction models. Gage earned his bachelor’s degree in communications and plant sciences from Cornell University and later went on to earn his master’s degree in biometry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, eventually earning his doctorate in plant breeding and plant genetics. His work is published in peer-reviewed journals including BMC Plant Biology, The Plant Genome, Theoretical and Applied Genetics, and Nature Communications.
